I’m In Love With You
I’ve been a Paul Oakenfold fan since I was in my teens, so when I seen this new track on one of my daily rummage obviously I got excited. From what I knew of Oakenfold’s style it was either House or BigBeat rock, however this track is not like anything I’ve heard from Paul before; Must be Alexander Popov influence.
The track opens with a melodic piano and chopped vocal melody leading to the lead vocal by LZRZ. The song is made to be magical. To really tell someone their feelings. There are no metaphors. There are no similes. The lyrics are direct and to the point. Declaring their love for someone.
The Emotion
“I’m in love with you
and I can’t hold it back no more
now my heart’s just for you
there no time to hold it back
I’m in love with you”
The emotion of this track puts it in line of what you could imagine that “In Love” feeling is. That moment of which you realize you have fallen. Those nervous hand holding moments to those staying up all night, not being able to settle your nerves.
Context
In the context of what we specialize in, Wedding/Event DJing, follow me for a second. Listen to this song and close your eyes. What do you see? Where are you? Who are you with? — In the context of wedding DJing, I see 2 people. Facing each other, staring at each other. Giving off that internal smile that the other person can feel rather than see. Until the drop of course, then the two are hold hands and jumping. All the while, the camera is panning around them like in a rom-com, showing as If they are the only two in the world that are there.
We have edited this track a bit with the hopes of playing it at a wedding. Now we just need the right group!
