Justin and Allyson

As with most weddings, we never know what to expect. Justin and Allyson's wedding was quite the exception. Their ceremony was absolutely flawless; from the sound system, music cues, of course as well as the officiant. Justin and Allyson did choose a song we have never played before for their ceremony, "Neville's Walts",  and it was nothing less than elegant. I'm embarrassed to say, but I have never heard of their chosen couples dance before "Inevitable" by Anberlin. I'm happy to say that this song has now made it into my personal playlist.

The reception was moderate in the beginning as people were eating and mingling. That is until Tommy played "It's Tricky" by Run D.M.C. Then it became a party! There wasn't a song that Tommy and Jonathan couldn't play. If I recall from their recap they went off the wall with, "Baby Got Back", "Pop Lock and Drop It", and even "Crank That" by Soulja Boy.

Tommy and Jonathan did mention that the highlight of their night was when Justin fist bumping them shouting "The playlist is phenomenal" and Allyson being so excited and happy that she gave them a hug thanking them. The guys told me "I wish all weddings were this fun".

Their Story from their wedding website

Looking to venture out and explore for college, both Justin and Allyson made the fateful decisions to attend Louisiana State University, not knowing how important that decision would ultimately be. Meeting each other during freshman biology lab, they would become good friends, frequently attending sporting events (notably being apart of the collective thunderous roar that would fall upon the Valley of Death on Saturday nights), watching movies together, and loving the LSU life. Allyson would graduate with a degree in kinesiology and Justin a degree in chemistry.

The transition to the Crescent City was a "big easy" one due to the love for the state and culture that they had been immersed in while in Baton Rouge. With both Allyson and Justin pursuing doctorate degrees, physical therapy (LSU Health) and chemistry (Tulane) respectively, they couldn't think of a better city to live in while on the journey. It's easy to see why the city is a perfect fit if you know them. From the laid back atmosphere, Mardi Gras season, crawfish boils and cuisine, to the parties with friends and cheering on the Tigers and Saints, the city offers everything the couple loves and more.
